Private Jets With the Longest Range: 2026 Ultra-Long-Range Rankings

The longest-range private jets in 2026 are the Bombardier Global 8000 and the Gulfstream G800. Both are rated at 8,000 nautical miles (14,816 km / 9,206 statute miles) non-stop. The Gulfstream G700 (7,750 nm), Bombardier Global 7500 (7,700 nm) and Gulfstream G650ER (7,500 nm) round out the top five. Any of these five ultra-long-range business jets can fly routes like New York to Hong Kong, Los Angeles to Sydney or London to Singapore without a fuel stop. This guide ranks the ten longest-range private jets currently in service and shows how far each category of private jet can fly. It also lists the city pairs you can fly non-stop, explains why real-world range is usually lower than the brochure figure, and covers what ultra-long-range charter costs.

The 10 Longest-Range Private Jets in 2026 (Ranked)
Rankings use each manufacturer's published maximum range. These figures assume long-range cruise speed (typically Mach 0.85), a modest passenger load, standard (ISA) atmospheric conditions, no wind and NBAA IFR fuel reserves. The ranking covers purpose-built business jets that are in service. VIP-configured airliners and aircraft still in development are covered separately below.
| Rank | Aircraft | Max range | Kilometers / miles | Max passengers | Max speed (Mmo) | Entry into service |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|

| 10 | Bombardier Global 6000 | 6,000 nm | 11,112 km / 6,905 mi | 17 | Mach 0.89 | 2012 |
Just outside the top 10 are the Dassault Falcon 7X (5,950 nm), the Bombardier Global 5500 (5,900 nm), the Dassault Falcon 6X (5,500 nm) and the Gulfstream G500 (5,300 nm). Every aircraft in the table above appears in the DesJets long-range jet fleet, and you can line up their specs side by side in our aircraft comparison tool.
1. Bombardier Global 8000: 8,000 nm
The Global 8000 is a development of the Global 7500. It keeps the 7500's four-zone cabin but adds upgraded GE Passport engines, which raise both range and speed. Bombardier rates it at 8,000 nm, 300 nm more than the 7500, and at a maximum operating speed of Mach 0.94. That makes it the only business jet that leads both the range ranking and our fastest private jets ranking. The cabin is about 54 feet long, with a crew rest area, a full galley, a dedicated bedroom, and Bombardier's Nuage seating. Its 8,000 nm range covers city pairs like Singapore to Los Angeles, Dubai to Houston and Sydney to Dallas. These are among the longest non-stop missions any business jet can fly today.

2. Gulfstream G800: 8,000 nm
The G800 matches the Global 8000's 8,000 nm range. It combines the G650's slightly shorter fuselage with the G700's wing, Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 engines and Symmetry flight deck. With a shorter cabin than the G700 carrying the same fuel, it gains 250 nm of range. Gulfstream quotes the 8,000 nm figure at Mach 0.85 with 8 passengers and 4 crew. At its faster Mach 0.90 cruise, range is 7,000 nm. Inside, the cabin has up to four living areas and the panoramic oval windows found across Gulfstream's large-cabin line. The G800 suits buyers and charter clients who want the greatest possible range in a cabin that is still very large but smaller than the G700's.

3. Gulfstream G700: 7,750 nm
The G700 is Gulfstream's flagship and has the largest cabin of any purpose-built business jet. It offers up to five living areas, a principal suite with a lie-flat bed and shower option, and a crew rest compartment. With 7,750 nm of range it can fly New York to Hong Kong or London to Perth non-stop with a typical passenger load. The G700 also has more ultra-long-range charter availability than the G800 or Global 8000, because it entered service in 2024 and more of them are now in operator fleets.
4. Bombardier Global 7500: 7,700 nm
The Global 7500 entered service in 2018 and was the first business jet with a four-zone cabin and a published range above 7,500 nm. It remains the ultra-long-range type most commonly available for charter. Its 7,700 nm range covers almost every major city pair, including New York to Tokyo, Los Angeles to Sydney and Dubai to Los Angeles, often with spare fuel. Our Global 7500 guide covers its full specs, interior configuration and charter cost.
5. Gulfstream G650ER: 7,500 nm
The G650ER is an extended-range version of the G650. It carries extra fuel in the same airframe, which raises range from 7,000 nm to 7,500 nm. More than a decade after entering service, it is still one of the most widely chartered ultra-long-range jets. Its cabin is slightly narrower than the G700's but still seats up to 19 passengers, and the airframe has a long record of reliable transpacific operation. For many charter clients it offers the best balance of range, availability and hourly rate.

6–10. G650, Global 6500, G600, Falcon 8X and Global 6000
The second half of the ranking covers aircraft with 6,000–7,000 nm of range. That is enough for almost every intercontinental mission except the longest transpacific and Asia–Americas routes. The Gulfstream G650 (7,000 nm) and Gulfstream G600 (6,600 nm) offer Mach 0.925 top speed. The Bombardier Global 6500 (6,600 nm) has a smooth-riding wing and a cabin over 6 ft 2 in tall. The Dassault Falcon 8X (6,450 nm) is a three-engine jet that can use shorter, steeper airports. It is one of very few long-range jets approved for London City's steep approach and has strong short-field performance into airports such as Aspen. The Global 6000 (6,000 nm) is an older design that is widely available on the charter market at lower hourly rates than the newer types.

In Development and VIP Airliners: Beyond the Top 10
The Dassault Falcon 10X is still in development, with entry into service targeted for 2027. Dassault quotes a planned range of 7,500 nm and a cabin wider and taller than any current business jet's. Until it is certified and delivered, it is not available for charter, and its specifications may change.
VIP-configured airliners fly much farther than any business jet. Boeing Business Jet and Airbus Corporate Jet versions of wide-body airliners such as the 787 and A350 have published ranges of roughly 9,000–11,000 nm, enough for Singapore to New York or London to Sydney non-stop. These are a separate charter category with very different pricing, airport requirements and availability (see our VIP airliner fleet).
How Far Can a Private Jet Fly? Range by Category
How far a private jet can fly depends mainly on its size category. Typical maximum ranges for current production aircraft are:
| Category | Typical max range | Example aircraft | Example non-stop mission |
|---|---|---|---|
| Very light jet | 1,100–1,500 nm | HondaJet, Phenom 100 | New York – Chicago |
| Light jet | 1,500–2,200 nm | Phenom 300E, Citation CJ4 | New York – Miami, London – Rome |
| Midsize jet | 2,000–2,700 nm | Citation XLS, Citation Latitude | New York – Las Vegas |
| Super-midsize jet | 3,100–4,000 nm | Challenger 350, Praetor 600, G280 | New York – Los Angeles, Miami – São Paulo (one stop) |
| Large / heavy jet | 4,000–5,500 nm | Challenger 650, Falcon 6X, G500 | New York – London, Dubai – London |
| Ultra-long-range jet | 6,000–8,000 nm | Global 7500, G700, G800, Global 8000 | New York – Hong Kong, Los Angeles – Sydney |
For a full comparison of what each category offers in cabin size, passenger count and hourly rate, read our guide to private jet types: light vs midsize vs heavy. Range is often what decides between two categories. The most common transatlantic charter, New York to London, covers about 3,000 nm. That is beyond most super-midsize jets once winds and reserves are counted, but well within large-cabin and ultra-long-range aircraft.
Which City Pairs Can You Fly Non-Stop?
Great-circle distances for popular long-haul private jet routes, and the aircraft that can typically fly them without a fuel stop:
| Route | Great-circle distance | Non-stop capable aircraft |
|---|---|---|
| London – New York | ~3,000 nm | Large jets and all ultra-long-range jets (westbound headwinds rule out most super-midsize) |
| Dubai – London | ~2,970 nm | Large jets and above |
| Los Angeles – Tokyo | ~4,750 nm | Falcon 6X, G500 and above |
| New York – Tokyo | ~5,850 nm | G650, Global 6500, G600 and above |
| London – Singapore | ~5,900 nm | G650, Global 6500 and above |
| New York – Dubai | ~5,950 nm | G650, Global 6500 and above |
| Los Angeles – Sydney | ~6,500 nm | G650ER, Global 7500, G700, G800, Global 8000 |
| New York – Hong Kong | ~7,000 nm | Global 7500, G700, G800, Global 8000 (G650ER with a light load) |
| Dubai – Los Angeles | ~7,250 nm | Global 7500, G700, G800, Global 8000 |
| London – Perth | ~7,800 nm | G800, Global 8000 with a light load in favorable winds |
| Singapore – New York | ~8,300 nm | No business jet: needs a fuel stop or a VIP airliner |
As a rule of thumb, plan on needing a jet with at least 10–15% more published range than the great-circle distance. That margin covers headwinds, routings around restricted airspace and alternate-airport fuel. An operator will confirm non-stop feasibility for your specific date, passenger count and baggage when you request a quote.
Why Real-World Range Is Shorter Than the Brochure Figure
Published ranges are best-case numbers. On an actual charter, five factors reduce how far a long-range private jet can fly:
- Passenger and baggage load. Manufacturers quote range with a light load, typically 4 to 8 passengers. A full cabin of 14–19 passengers with luggage adds several thousand pounds, which can cut range by several hundred nautical miles.
- Winds. Jet stream winds over the North Atlantic and North Pacific often reach 100–150 knots at cruise altitude. Over a 12-hour westbound leg, a 50-knot average headwind removes about 600 nm of still-air range. Eastbound flights get the same benefit in reverse.
- Temperature and airport elevation. Hot days and high-elevation airports reduce engine performance and lift on takeoff. Aircraft may then have to depart below maximum takeoff weight, which means less fuel. Runway length has a similar effect.
- Cruise speed. Range figures assume long-range cruise, typically Mach 0.85. Flying faster burns more fuel. The G800 drops from 8,000 nm at Mach 0.85 to 7,000 nm at Mach 0.90.
- Reserves and routing. Published figures include NBAA IFR reserves, but airspace restrictions, oceanic track assignments and the choice of alternate airport can all add distance to the flight plan.
Crew duty limits matter too. Legs longer than about 12–14 hours generally need an augmented crew, typically a third pilot. Ultra-long-range jets have crew rest compartments for this reason, and the extra pilot is built into the charter price.
What Does an Ultra-Long-Range Private Jet Cost to Charter?
The longest-range aircraft are also the most expensive to charter. Typical 2026 hourly charter rates for ultra-long-range aircraft, before taxes, fees and positioning, are:
| Aircraft | Max range | Typical hourly charter rate |
|---|---|---|
| Bombardier Global 8000 | 8,000 nm | $14,000 – $24,000/hr |
| Gulfstream G800 | 8,000 nm | $13,500 – $23,000/hr |
| Gulfstream G700 | 7,750 nm | $13,000 – $22,000/hr |
| Bombardier Global 7500 | 7,700 nm | $12,300 – $23,400/hr |
| Gulfstream G650ER | 7,500 nm | $11,500 – $19,500/hr |
| Gulfstream G650 | 7,000 nm | $11,000 – $18,500/hr |
| Gulfstream G600 | 6,600 nm | $9,500 – $15,000/hr |
At these rates, an ultra-long-range mission of 13–15 flight hours, such as Los Angeles to Sydney or New York to Tokyo, typically costs $170,000–$350,000 one way before fees. Because charters are usually priced on round-trip flight time, the operator's return or repositioning leg can add substantially to a one-way booking. Two ways to reduce the cost are to keep the same aircraft for the return leg, or to check empty leg flights, where an ultra-long-range jet repositioning between hubs such as London, Dubai and New York can be offered at a discount. For category-by-category pricing, see our full guide to how much a private jet costs.
Do You Actually Need the Longest-Range Jet?
Probably not, unless your mission is longer than about 6,000 nm. For transatlantic trips, Gulf–Europe flights and transcontinental US routes, a large-cabin jet with 4,000–6,000 nm of range does the job at a substantially lower hourly rate. Ultra-long-range aircraft make sense in three situations:
- Routes over 6,000 nm, such as US–Asia, US–Australia and Gulf–Americas, where a smaller jet would need a fuel stop that adds 1–2 hours and a crew change.
- Full cabins on medium-long routes, where the extra range lets you carry 12–16 passengers and full baggage without restrictions.
- Comfort on 10+ hour flights, where a cabin with separate zones, a real bed and a crew rest area materially changes how you arrive.
Frequently Asked Questions
What private jet has the longest range?
The Bombardier Global 8000 and the Gulfstream G800 share the title of longest-range private jet in 2026, each with a published maximum range of 8,000 nautical miles (14,816 km / 9,206 miles). The Gulfstream G700 (7,750 nm) and Bombardier Global 7500 (7,700 nm) are close behind.
How far can a private jet fly without refueling?
It depends on the category. Very light jets fly about 1,100–1,500 nm non-stop, light jets 1,500–2,200 nm, midsize jets 2,000–2,700 nm, super-midsize jets 3,100–4,000 nm, large jets 4,000–5,500 nm, and ultra-long-range jets 6,000–8,000 nm. The longest-range business jets can stay airborne for roughly 15–17 hours.
What is an ultra-long-range business jet?
An ultra-long-range (ULR) business jet is a large-cabin private aircraft with a range of roughly 6,000 nm or more, enough to connect almost any two major cities in the world non-stop. Current ULR jets include the Bombardier Global 8000, 7500 and 6500, the Gulfstream G800, G700, G650ER, G650 and G600, and the Dassault Falcon 8X.
Can a private jet fly from New York to Tokyo non-stop?
Yes. New York to Tokyo is about 5,850 nm, which is within range of the Gulfstream G650, G650ER, G600, G700 and G800 and the Bombardier Global 6500, 7500 and 8000. Westbound winds over the Pacific mean operators often prefer an aircraft with 7,000+ nm of range for this route with a full cabin.
Can a private jet fly from Los Angeles to Sydney non-stop?
Yes, with an ultra-long-range jet. Los Angeles to Sydney is about 6,500 nm. The Gulfstream G650ER, G700 and G800 and the Bombardier Global 7500 and 8000 can fly it non-stop in roughly 14–15 hours, depending on winds and passenger load.
Can any private jet fly from Singapore to New York non-stop?
No purpose-built business jet can fly Singapore to New York non-stop. At about 8,300 nm, the route is longer than the 8,000 nm maximum range of the Global 8000 and G800. It requires either a fuel stop or a VIP-configured wide-body airliner such as a BBJ 787 or ACJ350.
What is the longest-range corporate jet for the money?
For charter clients, the Gulfstream G650ER and Bombardier Global 7500 usually give the most range per dollar. They offer 7,500–7,700 nm of range with wide charter availability and hourly rates slightly below the newer G700, G800 and Global 8000. For missions under 6,600 nm, the Gulfstream G600 and Bombardier Global 6500 are lower-cost alternatives.
How long can a private jet stay in the air?
The longest-range business jets can fly for roughly 15–17 hours non-stop at long-range cruise speed. Flights of that length typically carry an augmented crew with a third pilot and use the aircraft's dedicated crew rest compartment.
How much does it cost to charter a long-range private jet?
Ultra-long-range private jets typically charter for $9,500–$24,000 per flight hour in 2026, depending on the aircraft. A 13–15 hour mission such as New York to Tokyo or Los Angeles to Sydney typically costs $170,000–$350,000 one way before taxes and fees. Repositioning costs and empty legs can move that number significantly.
